About the role
You will automate real business processes for clients: lead capture, invoice processing, customer replies, reporting. You combine no-code tools, APIs, Python and LLMs, and you measure the hours saved, which is exactly what employers hiring automation engineers want to see.
Roles and responsibilities
- Map business processes and find automation opportunities
- Build workflows in n8n, Make or Zapier with error handling
- Integrate APIs and webhooks between business apps
- Use LLMs to classify, extract and summarise information
- Automate documents: PDFs, OCR and templated outputs
- Monitor automations with logs, alerts and retries
- Calculate and report the time and cost saved
By the end, you will be able to
- Automate an end-to-end business workflow
- Combine no-code tools with code when it matters
- Use AI safely inside automations
- Build reliable, monitored automations instead of fragile ones
- Present automation ROI to a client
Questions you will be able to answer
How do companies reply to thousands of customer emails within minutes?
Can an invoice be read, checked and recorded without a human touching it?
How do sales teams know which lead to call first?
What happens when an automation fails at 2 a.m., and who finds out?
What you might build
- A lead-capture-to-CRM workflow with AI scoring
- An invoice OCR and approval pipeline
- A WhatsApp or email auto-reply assistant
Every intern gets different tickets. These are examples of the kind of work, not a fixed list.
